# Update a timesheet entry

PATCH https://api.letsdeel.com/rest/timesheets/{timesheet_id}

Partially updates an existing timesheet entry; only fields supplied in the request body are modified. Both clients and contractors may perform this operation.

- `timesheet_id` (string, required) — ID of an existing timesheet.

This endpoint expects an object.

## Errors

### 400 Bad Request Error

Bad Request - The request payload failed validation or violated a business rule for the timesheet entry.

### 401 Unauthorized Error

Operation failed.

Forbidden - The specified timesheet does not exist or the requester does not have access to it.

### 404 Not Found Error

Not Found - The specified timesheet does not exist.

### 500 Internal Server Error

Internal Server Error - The timesheet could not be updated due to an unexpected upstream or internal failure.

## Types

### TimesheetsTimesheetIdPatchRequestBodyContentApplicationJsonSchemaData

Fields to update on the existing timesheet entry.

- `quantity` (double, required) — Number of work units (typically hours) to record based on the scale defined in the associated contract work statement.
- `description` (string, required) — Detailed human-readable explanation of the work performed.
- `hourly_report_preset_id` (string, optional, nullable) — Id of an existing timesheets preset. Created through /rest/v2/timesheets/presets

Container object confirming the outcome of the update operation.

- `updated` (boolean, required) — Confirms the update.
