# Retrieve a legal entity

GET https://api.letsdeel.com/rest/legal-entities/{legal_entity_id}

Returns the full record for a single legal entity by id: registration and tax identifiers, address, industry, incorporation date and lifecycle status. `cdd_status` carries the raw Customer Due Diligence value (coalesced to `PENDING` when CDD is required, `NOT_REQUIRED` for Tier-0/SaaS entities before verification starts) and `status` the mapped lifecycle status, so integrations can poll entity clearance.

 **Token scopes**: `legal-entity:read`

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — ## Authentication The Deel API uses bearer tokens to authenticate requests. All API calls must be made over HTTPS — calls over plain HTTP or without authentication will fail. ```curl curl -X GET 'https://api.letsdeel.com/rest/v2/contracts' \ -H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR-TOKEN-HERE' ``` [Learn more about authentication](/api/authentication)
- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Standard OAuth2 security scheme based on https://swagger.io/docs/specification/authentication/
