Update asset
Updates the detail fields of an asset owned by the calling organization. Only the fields present in the request body are changed; a field the caller omits keeps its current value, so there is no way to clear a field back to empty. Changing `serial_number` unenrolls the asset from MDM device management. Assets whose detail fields are locked — archived or Deel-owned assets, or assets covered by an active service package — are rejected.

**Beta**: this version requires the `X-Beta: true` request header and its contract may change before it is promoted to stable. It is scheduled to become stable on 2026-12-29.

## Authentication
The Deel API uses bearer tokens to authenticate requests. All API calls must be made over HTTPS — calls over plain HTTP or without authentication will fail.
